What is FRAGRANCE FAMILY REWARDS? 

FRAGRANCE FAMILY REWARDS is our free-to-join rewards program that lets you earn points on your purchases and activities for free Fragrance Cash. You get exciting perks like early access to select sales, plus bonus premium benefits that unlock when you earn enough points. We’ll even give you a gift for your birthday! Fragrance Lovers receive a free Large Signature Jar and Fragrance Fans receive a free Small Signature Candle on their birthday every year.

Where can I register to be a FRAGRANCE FAMILY Member? 

Registering is quick and easy. Just visit our Sign-Up page to get started!

What if I registered at a Yankee Candle® retail location? 

You should receive an email within 24 hours of registering that will give you a link to complete your profile. Make sure you click and finish setting up your account so you can unlock the points you’ve earned since your visit!

What if I already have an account on YankeeCandle.com? 

If you already have a YankeeCandle.com account, then you can sign up for Fragrance Family by logging in to your account page, clicking the Fragrance Family icon at the top right, then reviewing and opting into the Fragrance Family terms & conditions. It’s easy!

What are the benefits of being a FRAGRANCE FAMILY member? 

There are lots of perks to becoming a member — and remember, it’s free!

Where can I earn points for my purchases?

Fragrance Family members earn points on every dollar spent (excluding taxes and shipping fees) at Yankee Candle® stores, Yankee Candle® Outlet stores, and YankeeCandle.com in the U.S.A. Points cannot be earned from international purchases or outside retail stores.

What purchases qualify to earn points?

Fragrance Family members earn points on the dollar value (before taxes) of almost everything they buy at U.S. Yankee Candle® stores and on YankeeCandle.com, including Yankee Candle®, WoodWick®, and Chesapeake Bay Candle® brand products. Points are not earned on gift card purchases, taxes, or shipping fees. Any restrictions will be set forth in store or on our brand websites.

How do I earn points for purchases?

If you are shopping at a Yankee Candle® store or Outlet, then provide your email address to a store associate at the register and your points will be automatically added to your Fragrance Family account when you make your purchase.
If you are shopping on YankeeCandle.com, then make sure you are signed into your account before you make your purchase and your points will be automatically added to your Fragrance Family account once your order has shipped.

How do I redeem my points for Fragrance Cash?

Every time you reach 1,000 points as a Fragrance Family member, you will automatically receive an email with a coupon for $5 in Fragrance Cash. (If you earn 2,000 points in a day, we will send you $10 in Fragrance Cash, and so forth, up to $20 per day.)

Do I really earn double points on Auto-Ship orders?

Yes! All Fragrance Family members earn 2X points on the dollar value (before taxes) of any Auto-Ship subscription orders. Find out more about Auto-Ship by reading our Auto-Ship FAQ.

When do I receive my points?

For in-store purchases, your points will be added to your account within 24 hours of your transaction.
For online purchases made on YankeeCandle.com, your points will be added to your account when your items ship. This means that there will be a short period after you place your order where your points do not yet appear in your account. We’ll send a shipping confirmation email to let you know when your items are on the way!

How can I see how many points I earned with my order?

You can see how many points you earned from an order made on YankeeCandle.com by logging into your account, clicking on ‘My Rewards Overview’, and scrolling to the bottom to see your order history.

I made a purchase, so why can’t I see the points in my account yet? 

Points earned from purchases made on YankeeCandle.com will be automatically added to your account when your order ships and you get your shipping confirmation email. Points earned from purchases made in Yankee Candle® stores will appear in your account within 24 hours of purchase. If your points still have not appeared in your account after that, then please contact our Customer Care Team.

How else can I earn points?

There are many ways for Fragrance Family members to earn points! You can:

•    Add Information to your profile, like your birthday and your phone number (50 points each). Don’t forget, we can’t send your special birthday gift reward unless you tell us when your birthday is!
•    Take Quizzes (25 points for each unique quiz you take on our website, limit 1 set of points per quiz).
•    Write a Review (25 points per review, up to 10 times per year).
•    Fragrance by Room (25 points for browsing, every 90 days)
•    Browse Digital Catalog (25 points for browsing, every 90 days)
•    Check Out Our Instagram (10 points for clicking, every month)
•    Check Out Our Facebook (10 points for clicking, every month)

How do I earn points for taking quizzes?

We often have short quizzes on YankeeCandle.com that help us make fragrance recommendations and find out what you like. Fragrance Family members earn 25 points for every quiz they take on our site! Just make sure that you’re signed into your account before you start. Please note that you’ll only earn points one time per unique quiz. We may not always have a new quiz available, so if you don’t see one, then check again soon. All of our quizzes are short and sweet!

How do I earn points for writing reviews?

After you have purchased an item while signed into your account on YankeeCandle.com, you will receive an email about your purchase. Check the ‘I want to earn rewards points for this review’ box in the email and follow the instructions to submit a review of your purchased item. Once your review has been approved, the points will be added to your account within 48 hours. You’ll earn 25 points for each review, up to 10 reviews each calendar year!

Do my points expire?

Points expire after 12 months on the last day of the month they were originally earned (for example, if you earned points on any day in January, they will expire on January 31st of the next year if you have not earned enough for them to turn into Fragrance Cash). You can view available points and expiration dates in the Rewards Overview section in your account. Fragrance Cash earned through points expires 90 days after it is emailed to you.

What is the difference between my current point balance and my total points earned?

You may have noticed that there are two different point totals listed in your Fragrance Family account:

•    Your current point balance keeps track of how close you are to earning your next $5 Fragrance Cash reward. Once you reach 1,000 points and get your reward, your point balance will reset back to zero (plus any leftover points over 1,000 from your last purchase). This is also the number of points that you can see next to your name when you log in.
•    Your total points earned are all of the points that you’ve collected in our new program since January 1st of the current calendar year. These are the points that count toward your membership status of Fragrance Fan or Fragrance Lover. You’ll keep this status for the rest of the calendar year in which it was earned — plus the whole year following!

Will I earn points for a purchase made using a Yankee Candle® Gift Card or Fragrance Cash?

You can earn points for purchases made using a gift card or Fragrance Cash on all items except for the purchase of new gift cards. (Please note that you will not earn points on the cost of shipping fees or tax.)

Why didn’t I earn points on my purchase?

There are a few reasons why you may not have earned points on a purchase:

•    You might have forgotten to give your email address at the register when you paid for your in-store purchase. Always let your store associate know that you’re a Fragrance Family rewards program member before you pay.
•    You may have checked accidentally out as a guest when you made a purchase on YankeeCandle.com. You need to be logged in to your account before purchasing.
•    You may have made an international purchase. Only orders placed and shipped within the U.S.A. can earn Fragrance Family rewards points.

Can I receive points for purchases made before I became a FRAGRANCE FAMILY member?

We’re sorry, but you can only earn points on purchases made while you are an active FRAGRANCE FAMILY member.

Is there a maximum number of points that I can earn in a year?

You can earn up to 30,000 points ($150 in Fragrance Cash) between January 1st and December 31st of each year.
 

What is Fragrance Cash?

Fragrance Cash is a dollar off discount that Fragrance Family members get by earning points.

How do I receive my Fragrance Cash?

Every time you reach 1,000 points as a Fragrance Family member, you will automatically receive an email with a coupon for $5 in Fragrance Cash. Your Fragrance Cash will also be automatically added to your account on YankeeCandle.com so you can choose to use it to make online purchases while logged in. (If you earn 2,000 points in a day, we will send you $10 in Fragrance Cash, and so forth, up to $20 per day.)

Where can I spend my Fragrance Cash?

You can spend it on YankeeCandle.com or in a Yankee Candle® store or Outlet to buy anything you want! Fragrance Cash does not count toward shipping or tax.

How do I redeem my Fragrance Cash on YankeeCandle.com?

First, log into your account on YankeeCandle.com. Browse our online store and add your items to your shopping bag. When you check out, make sure you select “Reward” from the drop-down menu on the right-hand side, and then click “Apply” to use your Fragrance Cash for your purchase.

Can I spend less than the full amount of my Fragrance Cash?

We’re sorry, but you must use the entire amount of a Fragrance Cash reward when making your purchase. If your purchase is for less than the full amount, then the Fragrance Cash reward will still be entirely used up if you choose to use it.

How do I redeem my Fragrance Cash in a Yankee Candle® Company Store or Outlet Store?

When you have enough points, we will automatically send you an email with your newly earned Fragrance Cash. Once you have received this email, you can go to any Yankee Candle® store or Outlet and provide a store associate with the email address or phone number that you have registered to your account. The associate will be able to look up your account and see what rewards are available for you to use, and can apply them to your purchase during checkout. You do not need to show a notification email or code to use your Fragrance Cash.

Can I use Fragrance Cash to pay for the shipping of my online order?

No, Fragrance Cash cannot be used toward shipping costs or tax.

How long is my Fragrance Cash valid?

Fragrance Cash is valid for 90 days after the date it was issued.

Can I use Fragrance Cash to pay for my purchase in combination with other gift cards, sales, or special offers?

Yes, you can! Fragrance Cash can be combined with other offers, but not used toward shipping costs or tax.

Can I exchange my Fragrance Cash for cash back?

Sorry, but Fragrance Cash has no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash back.

I can’t find my Fragrance Cash reward email! What can I do?

Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! You can find your rewards listed in your account, and apply them at checkout as long as you are logged in before making your purchase. In store, an associate can help look up your available rewards at the register if you provide the email address or phone number associated with your member account.

How do I receive my Fragrance Cash?

Please note that you need to have an online Fragrance Family rewards account to redeem your Fragrance Cash. If you signed up in store and it’s your first time accessing your account, you’ll need to check your email inbox and click through the verification email from us. From there, you’ll be able to finish signing up, set a password for your account, and start earning points. The email subject line should say “Fragrance Family: Let’s complete your sign-up!”

Once you’ve gained enough reward points, your points will turn into Fragrance Cash. 1000 points equals $5 in Fragrance Cash.

What’s the difference between Fragrance Fan and Fragrance Lover?

When you sign up for free to join our Fragrance Family rewards program, you automatically become a Fragrance Fan and qualify for all standard membership benefits. If you earn 1,000 points in a calendar year (between January 1st and December 31st), you will become a Fragrance Lover and unlock even bigger benefits!

What added benefits does a Fragrance Lover get?

In addition to all of the same benefits that a Fragrance Fan has, members who qualify as Fragrance Lover get FREE shipping on all $25+ orders, 1.25X points per dollar spent, and a premium gift for their birthday.

How do I earn 1.25X points as a Fragrance Lover?

Fragrance Family members at the Fragrance Lover tier automatically earn 1.25X points on all qualifying in-store and online purchases (make sure you are logged into your account before making an online purchase, or provide your email address or phone number to a store associate before paying at the register).

Does a Fragrance Lover earn additional points on Auto-Ship orders?

Yes! As a Fragrance Lover, you will earn 2X points on all Auto-Ship subscription orders plus your extra 1.25X bonus — even more than the standard 2X points for Fragrance Fans.

How long does Fragrance Lover status last?

Once you have earned 1,000 points in a single calendar year, your Fragrance Lover status will remain for the rest of that year, PLUS the entirety of the next year through December 31st.

Does Fragrance Lover status expire?

Yes, it can. You need to earn 1,000 points between January 1st and December 31st in order to reach Fragrance Lover status and keep it for the entire following year. If you earn fewer than 1,000 points in a calendar year, then you will go back to Fragrance Fan status the next year. Earn 1,000 points and you’ll be a Fragrance Lover again!
 

How can I view my rewards history?

Want to see all of the rewards that you’ve earned so far? Just log into your account at the top right of the screen on YankeeCandle.com, click the ‘My Rewards’ icon in your account page, and scroll down to the bottom of the page to find your rewards history!

When will I get early access to sales?

Surprise! At least once a year, Fragrance Family members will get access to special sales on YankeeCandle.com before anybody else. Look out for emails to notify you when we are running these exclusive sale windows.

Will I get a birthday gift every year?

Yes! You will receive a birthday gift every year that you are a Fragrance Family member.

How will I get my birthday gift?

On or around your birthday, we’ll send you an email to let you know your birthday reward is available in your account. You can redeem your birthday gift reward in a Yankee Candle® store or online at YankeeCandle.com (please note that standard shipping fees apply). You must be subscribed to receive our emails in order for us to send you your gift.

Will my birthday gift code expire?

Yes, your birthday gift rewards will expire 30 days after they are issued.

I got an offer for a free candle sample with my order, but I’ve already placed the order. Can I still get the free sample?

We’re sorry. Our Fragrance Lover members may sometimes receive a surprise bonus offer in their online shopping bag for a free sample during checkout, but the sample must be redeemed at the time of order purchase, and cannot be granted afterwards.

Will I get a birthday gift every year?

Please note that you need to have an online Fragrance Family rewards account to receive your free birthday gift. If you signed up in store and it’s your first time accessing your account, you’ll need to check your email inbox and click through the verification email from us. From there, you’ll be able to finish signing up, set a password for your account, and claim your birthday gift. The email subject line should say “Fragrance Family: Let’s complete your sign-up!”

If you are a Fragrance Fan, add a Signature Small Tumbler Candle of your choice to your cart and apply the birthday reward at checkout to receive your gift for free. If you are a Fragrance Lover, you can add a Signature Large Candle to your cart and apply the birthday reward at checkout for your free gift.

How can I delete my account?

Do I have to provide my birthday and phone number?

No, that information is optional. But if you do want to share them with us, you’ll earn 50 extra points for each (100 points total), and we’ll be able to send you a special gift for your birthday!
